I have an original Atari in my basement. At the time it came out, it cost more than double what the Wii under my TV did just a few years ago. Of course, early adopters all know that the latest shiny gadget will always be put to shame by the models just a few generations down the line. Still, it’s sobering to see different electronics in such stark contrast to their distant (2 or 3 decades) ancestors.
Other Gen Y people will catch a whiff of nostalgia from this infographic. If you’re one of the young ‘uns that started off with a Nintendo 64 rather than the Atari, this will be a nice little history lesson for you.
